SHARP Warrior Competition 2018
The Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC), Fort Polk Command Sergeant Major (PCSM) and Installation SHARP Team conducted a SHARP Warrior Board for FY18 Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month (SAAPM). This event consists of an Army Physical Fitness test and a proficiency and Knowledge Board.
SHARP which stands for Sexual Harassment Awareness/Assualt Response and Prevention believe that an educated Army Community led by knowledgeable, informed Leaders are essential to establishing an effective climate of prevention. Among the Army’s innovations in training, is its integration of sexual harassment and sexual assault training to address prevention at the earliest point in the continuum of harm. This approach is unique among the Services but is designed to address behaviors before they escalate into more serious offenses.
This competition helps brings awareness while also allowing service members the ability to compete against one another in a friendly atmosphere. Being part of this competition allowed us to see the rigorous training these service embers endure put into effect, many of which break their own personal records.
Omni is honored to take part in this. Congratulations to Jason the winner of the competition!
